HCA Tampa Shared Services Center Announces First School of Work Graduating ClassPalm Harbor, FL -- (May 5, 2010) HCA West Florida is pleased to announce the first School at Work Graduating Class of 2010 from the Shared Services Center in Palm Harbor. Students participated in a graduation ceremony on May 6 and will now move forward with continuing their studies at college, including Pasco-Hernando Community College, St. Petersburg College and Western Governors University. The 2010 graduating class includes Shauna Aiken, Lynn Devlin, Cynthia Ford, Heather Graham, Cathy Handlon, Patty Johnson, Julie Lyons, Rhonda Puffett, Ro Reilley and Renee Sabbides. We are committed to assisting our employees in advancing in their careers, and one of the most valuable tools we can provide is the opportunity to be successful in their educational endeavors , said Patty Gentile, Chief Executive Officer, Tampa Shared Services Center. School at Work provides a bridge to support tuition reimbursement and leadership development programs. The School at Work program is a college preparation/refresher program designed to prepare adult learners with the tools they need to return to college to earn a degree or certification. Students are provided this opportunity to take the course at their work site, during work hours and are paid while attending. Program components include helping students do a self-assessment of how they can balance school, work and family life, as well as, a review of math, reading and communication skills. |
